The Middle School State Championships are
open to any wrestler in grades 6TH -7TH & 8TH
who is enrolled in an Indiana Middle School who has not completed at least one
year of 8TH Grade.
WEIGHTS: 75 – 80 – 85 –
90 – 95 – 102 – 110 – 117 – 125 – 132 – 140 – 150 – 160 – 175 – 195 – 220 - 275
REGISTRATION: Athletes have the ability to register either online or on-site. No
registrations by mail will be accepted.
ON-LINE REGISTRATION: On-line registration is strongly encouraged and is available
at www.trackwrestling.com. Deadline for online registration is 6:00 PM (EST),
Friday, February 8th, 2008. Entry fee for participants registering online
is $25.00.
ON-SITE REGISTRATION: Entry fee for participants registering on-site is $35.00
per athlete. This fee will include a $10.00 late charge. Entry fees for all
wrestlers will be collected when participants arrive to weigh-in at the event.
Entry fees for
all wrestlers (CASH ONLY) will be collected when participants arrive to
weigh-in at the event.
WEIGH-INS:
Weigh-ins for all wrestlers will be held on Sunday, February 10th
from 7:00 TO 8:00 am. The Official Waiver & Registration
forms, included with this information, must be accurately completed and turned
in when athletes arrive to weigh-in at the event.
SPECTATOR
FEE: $5.00
INDIVIDAUL
AWARDS: Individual Plaque to the Champion and
Custom Medals to 2ND & 3RD place finishers
TEAM AWARDS: A
Trophy will be presented to the Championship Team
SCORING:
Team scoring will be based on points awarded to the highest place finisher,
from a Middle School team, in each weight class. All-Star teams or combined
teams will not be permitted in the team portion of the competition. If there is
a challenge it is the team’s responsibility to prove eligibility.

Rules will apply. Matches will consist of three periods: 1:00 – 1:30 – 1:30
USA WRESTLING MEMBERSHIP
CARD: This event is sanctioned by USA Wrestling
A USA Wrestling Competitor’s membership
card is required to participate. Cards are $30.00 and will be available for
purchase on-site. If you have
already purchased a card you MUST bring it (or a zerox
copy) with you.
QUALIFIER FOR ISWA MIDDLE SCHOOL DUALS
TEAM: This event is a qualifier for the ISWA Middle School Duals Team traveling
to the “USA Wrestling National Middle School Duals” scheduled to be held March
28 – 30 in Danville, Illinois. The top 2 Wrestlers in each weight class
are guaranteed a spot on Team Indiana Gold or Blue. If the first place finisher declines, the
3RD place finisher will be invited and so on. Wrestlers
will travel to Danville by bus on Friday, March 28th. Detailed trip
information will be distributed, at the event, to those who qualify.
